Australia Unites In Prayer Inc (AUIP) is a not-for-profit Catholic organisation. It commenced united prayers on 5th December 2004 when its first Mass was said by Bishop Mark Coleridge (currently Archbishop of Brisbane) at the invitation of Father Kaz Bojda SChr, former Rector of the Divine Mercy Shrine in Keysborough. Its program of united prayer gatherings has been supported by many Clergy, and also by Catholic organisations, ecclesial movements and prayer groups. AUIP Inc was represented during World Youth Day 2008, assisting Bishops’ catechesis. AUIP ran Youth Leaders’ Days and had Masses for Healing said at the Divine Mercy Shrine for more than 10 years and also at the Carmelite Monastery, Pallotine Community and in several parishes, for people suffering from addictions, depression, and anxiety or who required physical, spiritual or emotional healing.
It holds regular united prayers on 1st Sundays for Australia, the Holy Land, the Church and the world.
AUIP runs Life-Changing Programs to assist people with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addictions, trauma and loneliness.
These programs are designed to assist women and men to rebuild their dignity and self-worth and to improve their lives by gaining better knowledge and understanding of the root problems of their issues. These programs provide the strategies and skills needed for participants to overcome their challenges and make positive and lasting changes in their lives which will better their future. At the same time participants can benefit from growing in Christian spirituality by gaining healing and becoming stronger as individuals.
Our mission’s spiritual foundation is based on the Divine Mercy Spirituality, spirituality that focuses on God’s love and mercy.
When I went for adoration, I heard these words: My beloved daughter, write down these words: …Tell the world about My mercy and love. The flames of mercy are burning Me. I desire to pour them out upon human souls. Oh, what pain they cause Me when they do not want to accept them.
My daughter, do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My mercy. I will make up for what you lack. Tell aching humanity to snuggle close to My merciful Heart, and I will fill it with peace. Tell all people that I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself but radiates them to other souls. (St Faustyna’s Diary, 1074)
“Pure love is capable of great deeds, and it is not broken by difficulty or adversity. As it remains strong in the midst of great difficulties, so too, it perseveres in the toilsome and drab life of each day. It knows that only one thing is needed to please God: to do even the smallest things out of great love – love, and always love.” (Diary, 140)
..”Love of God and love of one's brothers and sisters are inseparable…This love can only be learned by penetrating the mystery of God's love. Looking at him, being one with his fatherly heart, we are able to look with new eyes at our brothers and sisters, with an attitude of unselfishness and solidarity, of generosity and forgiveness. All this is mercy! …
It is this love which must inspire humanity today, if it is to face the crisis of the meaning of life, the challenges of the most diverse needs and, especially, the duty to defend the dignity of every human person. Thus the message of the Divine Mercy is also implicitly a message about the value of every human being. Each person is precious in God's eyes; Christ gave his life for each one; to everyone the Father gives his Spirit and offers intimacy.
This consoling message is addressed above all to those who, afflicted by a particularly harsh trial or crushed by the weight of the sins they committed, have lost all confidence in life and are tempted to give in to despair. To them the gentle face of Christ is offered; those rays from his heart touch them and shine upon them, warm them, show them the way and fill them with hope. “
The homily of the Pope St John Paul II, Canonisation of St Faustina, Feast of Divine Mercy, 30 April, 2000
