I have suffered from depression and anxiety since adolescence, which has required extended periods of regular psychological therapy and the on-going use of anti-depressant medication. I have endured dark periods of suicidal ideation, including a nervous breakdown in my late teens.
The first Search for Life course I took greatly alleviated the pervasive anxiety I had suffered from for decades. My chronic insomnia markedly improved, and I was generally more cheerful than normal – results that had not been achieved before, despite my use of anti-depressant medication.
Divine Mercy healing prayers, in conjunction with the Life-Improving courses, bring one’s unresolved problems into the light, and the Divine Physician does the rest. Nothing I’d ever tried before had dealt with the root causes of my depression and anxiety, or had provided such a lasting peace within.
So, now every time I feel that old familiar gnawing sense of worry, with my increased prayer patterns and spiritual growth, I now know which antidote to reach for – the Chaplet, not the tablet! (Name withheld)
