The Divine Mercy Prayers:

Chaplet to the Divine Mercy(Diary, 476)

Our Father, Hail Mary…

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen

On the rosary beads - on the five large beads:

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, / In atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

On the ten small beads:

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion / have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Conclude 3 times:

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You. (3x)

(St Faustina’s Diary, 187)

Prayer of Consecration to the Divine Mercy

Jesus, the Divine Mercy, we consecrate ourselves, families, young people, the Church, Holy Land, our nations and our intentions to You, God of great love and mercy. Guard us and bless us to follow Your will, for the world to come back to You, our God and our Saviour. Heal us and bless us in Your formation as disciples, to reach out everywhere. "Eternal Father, I offer to you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, for our sins and those of the whole world; by the sufferings of His Passion, have mercy upon us and upon the whole world" (Diary, 476).

We solemnly entrust the world to Divine Mercy. May the message of God’s merciful love, proclaimed through Saint Faustina, be made known to all the peoples of the earth and fill their hearts with hope, love and joy to repent and be blessed.

May this message radiate throughout the world. May this great promise of the Lord Jesus be fulfilled and go forth preparing the world for His final coming. May this spark be lighted by the grace of God and this fire of mercy be passed on to the Church and the world. May Your Kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen. Amen. Amen.

You called St Mary MacKillop

To relieve suffering and bring hope

To the most neglected parts of your vineyard.

May her life be a source of inspiration to all peoples.

May we be filled with your compassionate love,

Grow to trust in your provident care,

Learn to respect the dignity of all,

And so witness to your justice in our lives.

We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Gregory the Great

Father, you guide your people
with kindness and govern
us with love.

By the prayers of Saint Gregory
give the spirit of wisdom
to those you have called to lead
your Church. May growth of your people
in holiness be the eternal joy of
your shepherds.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, who lives and reigns
with you in the unity of the
Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Solemn Act of Entrustment of the World to the Divine Mercy

(Pope St. John Paul II, 2002)

God, merciful Father, in Your Son, Jesus Christ, you have revealed your love and poured it out upon us in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. We entrust to you today the destiny of the world and every man and woman. Bend down to us sinners, heal our weakness, conquer all evil, and grant that all the peoples of the earth may experience your mercy. In you, the Triune God, may they ever find the source of hope. Eternal Father, by the Passion and Resurrection of Your Son, have mercy on us and upon the whole world. Amen.

St. Faustina’s Prayer for the Church and Priests (Diary, 1052)

O My Jesus. I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit. Give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You. Lord give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness.

O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. Amen.

A message given by Lord Jesus to St Faustina

“… When the priest exposed the Blessed Sacrament, and the choir began to sing, the rays from the image pierced the Sacred Host and spread out all over the world. Then I heard these words: These rays of mercy will pass through you, just as they have passed through this Host, and they will go out through all the world.” (St Faustina’s Diary, 441)
